Special needs students enjoy exclusive day at Dixon May Fair

Published Friday May 6

Students from special education classes across Solano County got an exclusive morning at the Dixon May Fair Friday.

The rain let up around ten in the morning and students, parents and teachers alike were happily visiting farm animals and trying out carnival rides before the fair opened at noon for the rest of the public.

Waiting in line for the Wacky Worm roller coaster was a class from Tremont Elementary in Dixon.

“I went on the train,” explained Braiden Koster, six and he pointed to the YoYo swing ride as his next potential thrill.

He soon climbed into the front car of the coaster.

It was the first time Tremont students attended the Special Needs Children day at the fair.
